Lawnscaping Challenge #78 - Clean and Simple - dream...

Whew....just under the wire, but I made it!!! 

I'm back blogging to share my entry for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge - Clean and Simple. (I'm determined to enter every Lawnscaping challenge of 2014! This personal challenge ensures that I will make at least one card every two weeks, no matter what!

 

 

I always struggle with clean and simple cards, but I was in a serious time crunch this evening and that really helped! I decided to use just one very small stamp set and color on watercolor paper with my Twinkling H2O's - if only the photo would pick up on how shimmery the card is in person! I'm actually very happy with the result, so... here it is!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - I'm Lucky To Know You

Hi everyone! I'm here to share an entry I made for this week's Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge, which is based on an inspiration photo.

 

 

I have a few ideas for cards to make based on this picture - (not sure whether I'll get any others actually made or not, though.)

The card I'm sharing here is only very loosely based on this photo. My inspiration came from the green and red colors and the neutral background. I ended up making a super glittery St. Patrick's Day card. The green reminded me of clovers, and I wanted to include just a small touch of red. There are also 3 funnels and 3 pots, so I echoed that by placing 3 large clovers (and 3 gems in the corner.) This is also a very simple picture, and so I made my card design very simple as well. I hope the recipient likes it!

Lawnscaping Challenge #77 - Bling It! - I'm So Lucky To Have a Friend Like You

Hi everyone! I'm back with my entry into the latest Lawnscaping Challenge - Bling It!

 

 

 

I was excited about this challenge because I'm great at collecting a lot of sparkly, blingy things, but I'm not always great about actually using them! For instance, I love the recent fascination with sequins and I've collected a bunch of them - but this is the first time I'm actually using them.

I also made my first ever St. Patty's Day card! My friend and I both really love owls and I definitely wanted to use the owl on her card, as well as the sentiment "I'm lucky to have a friend like you." Then I found the hats off set and knew exactly how I wanted this card to come together. I'm in love with it! I decided to use a combination of green and gold sequins - green to mix in with the embossed clovers on the ground and a few sprinklings of gold in there as well. I know she's going to LOVE this card!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - Anything Goes - my wise friend

Good evening! This is just a quick post to enter a card into the current Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - Anything Goes.

Last week I colored these owl images with my new Spectrum Noir markers, so I decided to use them for this card. This is a fairly simple card - aside from adhering the images, all I did was stamp the background with versa mark ink to give the card a little bit more interest. Here it is:
