Hello, everyone!! I have some more exciting news to share with you all today! Lawn Fawn selected my Super Owl birthday card as their pin of the day and added it to their Pinterest board!!!
Imagine my excitement when I saw my card was their pin of the day?!?! Between this honor, winning the Paper Smooches challenge the other day, and getting an honorable gnome in the 65th Lawnscaping Challenge, well, it's been a VERY good two weeks!!! I'm really on a roll right now and am having a blast!
EEEKS! and I just now saw another of my cards has been posted on Lawn Fawn's board as well - the birthday card I made for Morgann (see that card here)!! It's so thrilling when the company owners give you a shout out! It's almost better than Christmas......almost ;)
This is actually good timing for this particular card to be pinned because I never did a blog post on it but have been meaning to! My friend Hayley and I share a birthday and we both LOVE OWLS! (Actually, I should make cards for Hayley more often - the card I made for her birthday last year won me Queen of Green in the Lawnscaping challenge!!)
Anyway, for this card I knew I wanted to use the new super owl stamp from Lawn Fawn's new Critters in Costume set. I love all the stamps in this set, but the super owl was a MUST have in my collection, for obvious reasons! I love putting balloons on birthday cards, and I decided to add some glossy accents to these. I thought it would be super cute to have the owl flying over a town of houses getting ready to deliver the birthday balloons, so out came the Home Sweet Home stamp set, which I had only used for the banner up until now, but how fun it was to build those little houses! This set I'm sure will be a favorite as well! This card came out even better than I had envisioned - and I especially love how my cloudy sky turned out! Hope you love it as much as I do!
