Today is my grandma's 89th birthday! I wanted to make her a card, but I only had a short amount of time to get it done, so I used the current Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge as inspiration to get me going.
This week's challenge was to use a sketch as a guide. Here's the sketch that was provided:
Here's my card:
The background was created entirely with washi tape from my stash - it was fun to actually use it! I colored the image (from Paper Smooches stamp set Party Posse with Distress markers, rounded the corners and inked the edges with some Broken China Distress Ink.
This is totally different from the types of cards I usually make - notice how there's no patterned paper! I really like how it turned out, and it actually came together very quickly (which, for me, was an hour...still not super fast!)
I hope Grandma had a great birthday and hopefully she will like her card!
Fun to use washi tape for the sketch Lisa! I also like how the card turned out! I'm sure your grandma will be happy with this card! Happy belated birthday to your grandma!
